Celebrate Lag Ba'Omer with the music of Yosil Rosenzweig and the Kosher Gravy Company

Thursday April 29th, 2010

After 40 years of playing jewish music, playing 100's of concerts, having dozens of other Jewish bands and Jewish singers play his songs, Rabbi Yosil Rosenzweig is finally recording an album.
He will be playing a concert at Magnetic Recordings studio as a CD release party. This concert will be on May 2nd (Lag Ba'Omer) and will be a very intimate experience. (Think VH1 StoryTellers meets your carlebach style Melava Malka.) This concert will also be recorded and produced as a DVD, so you will be a part of Jewish Music History.
The venue is a full service audio and video recording studio, which also holds attendees during the live recording.
There are couches and lounge chairs to sit in if you want, there is a great open dance floor if you feel like it. There are lots of wonderful distractions for your visual delight. There will be light snacks and drinks served during the show. VIP tickets come with Dinner. All food will be Kosher!
This is a Family Friendly Event... Kids under 12 come in free!
A portion of the proceeds from this show will go to benefit the Friendship House programs of the Friendship Circle.
There is going to be a rare collection of musicians from various bands and backgrounds playing at this show.
Ruby Harris from the Diaspora Yeshiva Band will be joining us.
Members of JamSamich and The American Gravy Company are playing this show as well.
Feel free to check out http://www.youtube.com/user/WhyYouJam for videos of practices sessions and other fun stuff. And check out www.WhyYouJam.com for more information and to stay up to speed on the release of the album and DVD!
