New Plug-ins from Massey
Friday August 25th, 2006
As a dedicated user of ProTools recording hardware and software, I get to explore and enjoy the wonderful world of plug-ins. Plug-ins are 3rd party software programs which use ProTools internal signal processing chips to achieve many different types of effects within the ProTools session workspace.
Recently I added the Massey family of plug-ins to my installation. I read dozens of rave reviews about them so I investigated.
They include the CT4 compressor plug-in that provides clean and transparent compression with just a bit of punch. The Tape-Head plug-in simulates the unique tonal change that occurs when a signal is recorded to analog tape. The VT3 equalizer gets back to basics with simple hi, med, and low gain controls that simulate some of the classic tones of those huge bulky analog eq's of the 50's and 60's. Finally the L2007 Mastering Limiter provides depth, punch and volume when creating finished masters for duplication.
All four plug-ins have received rave reviews from audio professionals all over the world. Contact me now to find out how they can help improve the sound of your mixes or masters.
